BUILD A FREE WEBSITE Whether starting a business, promoting a hobby or writing a blog, finances are always an issue. That said, you know you need an online platform. There are many qualified companies that specialize in website design, blog page development, content writing and site hosting, but budget friendly is not in the description. As a matter of fact, many of these companies use the same website building templates that are available to you! Building a website may seem daunting at first; however, once you get going, you may be surprised how easy it really is. First things first. Visit several sites, view their tutorials and choose a free website builder that matches your skill level. You may even want to try several website builders to see which one works best for you. By now, you're probably asking, "Is there a downside to using a free website builder?" Of course there are downsides. Everything has pros and cons and only you can weigh the respective benefits. A free website builder will display advertising on your website, some apps and features will not be accessible without a paid subscription and your URL (domain name) will contain the name of the website builder. (Ex. Johndoe.buildername.com). It is no secret that using a .com domain name makes it easier for people to find your website. An easy fix is to purchase a domain name yourself and redirect it to your newly created website. For example, a potential client/reader types johndoe.com and is then redirected to johndoe.buildername.com); best of all, the average person does not pay attention to a URL once they arrive at a website. I am fully aware that this post will not make website developers happy. Many will say, "You get what you pay for"; which is true. Free website builders are not for everyone; however, they are particularly great for a simple landing page, informational site, blog posts and so-forth. A free website template may not be the best option if you plan to add a shopping cart, require extensive coding or simply want someone to manage and update your website regularly. Again, do the research and weigh the pros and cons before proceeding. NOW YOU'RE READY TO BUILD GO WRITE WIN
